How is Petrol Made? |
|
| |
| |
Petrol is one of the products produced from crude oil.
A process called fractional distillation is used to separate out all the useful elements of crude oil. Fractional distillation is a process where by oil is heated to progressively higher tempratures. At set temperatures a different product is separated depending on the point it turns into a gas. The gas is then fed into a cooling chamber where, as it cools, it turns back into a liquid.
